Learner

This 7th grade unit will most likely be taught at the beginning of the year and can be an
excellent team building activity.  Individuals and teams working together to produce a
final product is a major goal of the project.

Because there are many independent learning processes involved, the teacher will want
to make sure all students are progressing.  It might be helpful to have students create a
checklist/timeline of the project so they can employ time management skills more effectively.

Modifications may need to be made for those students who do not read well.  The teacher
may need to work with those students through guided reading as they use the internet.

The teacher may want to do some team building activities prior to the start of the project so
that students understand what is expected from them as a contributing member of a team.
It is also important for them to see that everyone contributes in different ways.
